The Credit Reporting Bill, 2008

The proposed Credit Reporting Act, 2008, seeks to to establish a credit reporting mechanism as part of the Financial Sector Reform Programme. A credit reporting system aims to provide a credit history of borrowers in order to:
(a) allow for better credit assessment, risk management and loan pricing;
(b) facilitate the provision of credit facilities to a wider segment of the population.

The Sexual Offences Bill, 2008

The proposed Sexual Offences Act, 2008, seeks to provide a statutory definition of rape, including marital rape, abolish the presumption that a boy younger than 14 year old is incapable of committing rape, widen the category of persons who may be charged with incest, include protections for the complainant in rape cases, and also to provide for the establishment of a Sex Offender Registry.
