Constitutional Affairs and Human Rights Committee

The Constitutional Affairs and Human Rights Committee is responsible for considering and deliberating on constitutional issues whether raised by members of the bar, society generally or out of matters before the various courts in our jurisdiction.

As part of its mandate, the Committee considers constitutional issues; reviews, comments on and suggests amendments to the Constitution and legislation generally considered desirable for the general improvement of the nation’s constitutional framework; and informs, educates and stimulates discussion on constitutional issues among members of the bar and the wider public.

The Committee meets on the fourth Monday of every month except during the Long Vacation and does not meet formally in December.
