Continuing Legal Education

The purpose of the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee is to facilitate the delivery of accredited continuing legal education programmes consistent with the ever-changing pace of the legal landscape and developments in law. This task is accomplished through the work of Bar Association members who aim to ensure that the CLE Committee offers challenging, relevant, and a diverse array of programmes to meet the varied needs of Jamaica’s and indeed our region’s legal practitioners at all levels. These programmes are typically administered in a face- to-face seminar format but that is set to change. The seminars are available at varying times throughout the entire year. There is a constant and growing need for content and members of the various Bar committees, local, regional, international and interdisciplinary interests, as well as public sector interest groups with legal issues are encouraged to contact the CLE Committee.

The diversity of programmes and past events include its annual Weekend Conference, in November of each year, which attracts distinguished local and international presenters and attendees with thought-provoking topics that are not to be missed.
