The Commercial Law Sub-Committee, with Ms. Hilary Reid at its helm, meets on the third Wednesday of each month save for August and December. Currently the Commercial Law Sub-Committee has approximately fifty (50) members drawn from several law firms, in house counsels from a variety of industries, and government agencies.
The Commercial Law Sub-Committee takes both an academic and practical approach to commercial law. Our members actively participate in a myriad of stakeholder forums and committees with a view to providing feedback on relevant Bills as well as amendments to statutes. The Sub-Committee also liaises with various government agencies, in order to provide feedback on the practical application of the law.
Indeed, commercial law is dynamic and the Commercial Law Sub-Committee aims to provide its members with a medium to participate in its development while remaining cognizant of its many facets.
