The general mandate of the Conveyancing Committee is to monitor and review matters affecting the practice of conveyancing at the local bar. This usually involves the following:
- Reviewing and commenting on proposed legislation relating to or in any way impacting on conveyancing practice
- Reviewing and monitoring developments in case law which affect the practice of conveyancing
- Liaising and consulting with Government Agencies and Departments whose operations / policies / practices impact on the practice of conveyancing
- Maintaining ongoing dialogue with the National Housing Trust, The Real Estate Board and the Registrar of Titles
