The objective of this Committee is to assist the JBA in improving the industrial relations and labour law environment in Jamaica.
In order to achieve this objective it requires a continuous examination of the existing law, whether case law or legislation and proposed legislation which impacts on the industrial relations and labour law environment in Jamaica.
Once issues are identified, whether as an area in which legislation is needed to fill the gap, or as a concern regarding existing or proposed legislation, it is brought to the attention of the JBA with the objective of resolving the issue to the benefit of Attorneys-at-Law and the public at large and educating the public as to the impact of these issues on their day to day lives and livelihoods.
